Coronavirus in UAE: total nears 40,000 with 528 new cases on June 9

  DUBAI – The UAE announced 528 new cases of coronavirus on Tuesday (June 9), bringing the total number of cases in the country to 39,904. The Ministry of Health and Prevention also said that 465 more patients had recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 22,740. Two people died of coronavirus, bringing the death toll to 283. Officials said that 37,000 more tests were carried out across the UAE to help curb the spread of coronavirus. So far, more than 2.5 million Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the country. The mass tests come as the UAE eased movement restrictions to allow business to reopen across the country.
