With fewer than 100 days to go, the Dubai Marathon 2025 is gearing up for another thrilling edition, and registrations are still open for runners of all skill levels. Scheduled for January 12, 2025, the marathon will feature its usual 4km, 10km, and 42.195km race categories. Runners can register for free via the official website at Dubaimarathon.org. Organized under the auspices of the Dubai Sports Council, the Dubai Marathon is recognized as the fastest marathon in the Middle East and draws elite athletes from around the globe. “We are delighted by the enthusiastic response from runners who signed up months in advance,” said Race Director Peter Connerton, "We are focused on creating a memorable event that caters to both elite athletes and amateur runners." The 2025 marathon will again take runners along Dubai’s scenic coastal routes, including Jumeirah Beach Road, Al Sufouh, and Umm Suqeim Road. The flat terrain offers the perfect opportunity for participants to set personal bests, making it a favorite among professional marathoners. In 2024, the Dubai Marathon made headlines when Ethiopian runner Tigist Ketema set the fastest debut marathon time in history, clocking 2:16:07. Ketema went on to win the Berlin Marathon later that year. “Dubai has established itself as a platform where emerging talents can shine,” Connerton added. As the clock counts down to race day, organizers encourage both local and international participants to sign up and join the vibrant community of marathon runners.
