Covid-19 recoveries in UAE rise to 2,429, with 552 new cases as of April 30
ABU DHABI – More people have recovered from Covid-19 in the UAE, with the total number of recoveries moving up to 2,429 after 100 patients fully recovered from the virus on Thursday (April 30). The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention said that 552 new cases of the Covid-19 were also detected on Thursday following mass testing carried out in the country. Seven people died from coronavirus on Thursday. On Wednesday, Dr. Amna Al Dahak Al Shamsi, spokesperson of the UAE Government, said that the recovered cases constitute 20 percent of all infections in the UAE. ''We are optimistic that with the dedication of frontline doctors and paramedics who use the most advanced methods of treatment, we will soon have more recovered patients,'' she affirmed. Some 9,502 patients were still receiving treatment on Wednesday. Dr. Al Shamsi aid the rate of infection does not exceed 0.12 percent of the population of the UAE. ''We reassure the general public that we will spare no effort to address this crisis and curb the spread of the virus,'' she said.
