Covid-19 in UAE: 2,687 new cases, no deaths in 24 hours
DUBAI – The UAE recorded 2,687 new Covid-19 cases in the country in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases to 777,584 as of Thursday (January 6). According to the Ministry of Health and Prevention, the infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care. Meanwhile, there were no coronavirus-related deaths in the UAE in the past 24 hours, leaving the death toll unchanged at 2,170. The ministry also noted that 902 more individuals have fully recovered from Covid-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 750,156. As part of an expanded scope of nationwide testing, authorities also conducted 405,418 additional Covid-19 tests over the past 24 hours. The ministry said it aims to continue mass testing to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment of infected individuals.
