Covid-19 in UAE: 882 new cases, 2 deaths in 24 hours
DUBAI – The UAE recorded 882 new Covid-19 cases in 24 hours as of Friday (February 18), as it conducted 398,902 additional coronavirus tests as part of a nationwide campaign. According to the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), the newly infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care. The Covid-19 infections announced on Friday bring the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 873,092. The country's number of daily Covid-19 cases has continued to fall this week. The ministry also announced two deaths due to Covid-19 complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 2,292. The ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and wished Covid-19 patients a speedy and full recovery. MoHAP also reported that 2,294 individuals had fully recovered from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries to 813,926.
