Dubai-based real estate developer, Damac Group, has announced the launch of its first airline venture, Damac Air, which is set to elevate the UAE’s travel market with luxury leisure flights. The new airline aims to fly to high-end vacation destinations, targeting travelers seeking exclusive, curated experiences. According to Damac, Damac Air will initially connect the UAE with six sought-after tropical destinations: Bali, Maldives, Hawaii, Seychelles, Fiji, and Bora Bora. “Our aim is to offer luxury vacations that blend opulent comfort with exotic, world-class destinations,” Damac stated on their website, adding that each destination has been “meticulously curated” to provide an unparalleled vacation experience. Promotional video clips featuring AI-generated imagery of Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner jets in Damac Air livery have created a stir among aviation enthusiasts. However, specific details about the airline’s fleet and aircraft type remain undisclosed. A countdown timer on the Damac Air website damacair.com hints that the official launch could take place as soon as Saturday (November 10). Founded and led by CEO Hussain Sajwani, Damac Properties has earned a reputation for developing high-end residential and leisure properties across the Gulf, the Middle East, the US, and the UK. With Damac Air, the company is branching out from real estate into the world of luxury travel. Sajwani stated, “Damac Air caters to those who seek an extraordinary, all-inclusive vacation that combines the best of relaxation, adventure, and sophistication.” The airline’s website touts an all-encompassing approach to leisure travel, offering "more than just flights" with integrated experiences across luxury accommodations, high-end dining, and guided excursions tailored for adventure-seekers and leisure travelers alike. Industry analysts speculate that Damac’s entry into the airline industry may spur other regional developers to consider similar ventures as part of a growing trend of experiential travel.
