Darryl Yap, the controversial director, announced on social media that he has begun writing the screenplay for the sequel to the famous film "Maid in Malacañang." The second series, titled "Martyr or Murderer" or #MoM, will center on the most serious accusation against Marcoses, that they were involved in the death of Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr. on August 21, 1983. "MARCOS DID NOT KILL AQUINO. Today, I started writing #MoM. MARTYR or MURDERER," Darryl wrote in the caption of his post last October 11. Darryl first revealed the planned project during an online discussion with Coach Jarret on August 5. "It's the greatest to the Marcoses that they had then Senator Ninoy (Aquino) killed," Yap said. "And I want to present why the people should believe them that it's not them," Yap added. With the #MoM project in the works, Darryl's other film, "Ang Huling Japayuki," will be postponed for 2023. In an interview with expatmedia.net, Yap shared that he was able to write "Maid in Malacañang" in just two days. “I wrote the script for two days. I’m a fast writer," he said during a press conference in Dubai last August 20.
