No more free parking at Deira City Centre on Saturday

  DUBAI – Parking fees at Deira City Centre will now be collected starting on Saturday. Shoppers will now pay for every hour, over the first "free" four hours of parking there. The mall management said that there will only be free parking for the first four hours for mall visitors and free parking all day will only be during Fridays. It said that they needed to do this in order to ensure that their mall patrons "can access parking spaces quickly and conveniently". The report said that the management has seen positive results with reduced the number of non-visitors using the car park by 15 percent. It also noted that they have increased turnover of cars inside the car park by 12 percent on a peak time especially on Saturdays. Aside from Deira City Centre, the Dubai Mall, Mirdif City Centre, Dubai Festival City, Oasis Centre, and Ibn Battuta are offering free parking through the week while Mall of the Emirates and Burjuman mall over free parking over the weekend.
