Delayed Emirates ID renewal: Dh20 fine per day
UAE residents who have failed to renew their expired Emirates ID will be fined Dh20 per day and a maximum of Dh1,000, according to the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security (ICP). The fine will apply after the 30-day grace period from the expiry date of the Emirates ID, according to the ICP. People with special needs, heads and members of diplomatic and consular missions and international organisations in the UAE are exempt from paying the fines and can apply for the exemption through www.icp.gov.ae or its app UAE ICP. The Emirates ID card is linked to the residence visa expiry of a resident. To renew the card, he resident can apply through the ICP website or a typing centre.
