DEWA announces 2.1 million smart electricity, water meters to help residents reduce consumption

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has announced that 2.1 million smart electricity and water meters are now available to the city's residents. The number of smart meters has grown from 200,000 in the first phase, which was completed in January 2016, to 2.1 million today. This is part of DEWA's ongoing efforts to build smart, modern infrastructure that meets the highest international standards. Smart meters offer various customer benefits, including the ability to adjust their consumption proactively and digitally without having to contact DEWA and transform Dubai into the world's smartest and happiest city.
