Luxury real estate developer DAMAC Properties announced on Thursday (October 12) that is has awarded a contract worth Dh1.2 billion to Darwish Engineering Emirates for its DAMAC Lagoons project. The contract consists of main works for 275 villas in the Venice cluster in its master community, DAMAC Lagoons, which was launched in 2021. Construction of the DAMAC Lagoons is now 20 percent complete. When finished, the community will have 6,459 luxury villas spread across 13 clusters. More than 14,000 people are working on DAMAC Lagoons, which spans 4.5 million sqm. It is DAMAC Properties’ third master community development in Dubai and is adjacent to DAMAC Hills. DAMAC Lagoons has a Mediterranean theme with water-inspired features. The community has 176,650 sqm of water spaces, an area larger than 141 Olympic-sized swimming pools. DAMAC Lagoons will offer an array of amenities, including an exclusive clubhouse, green meadows, retail shops, a floating amphitheatre, fitness centres, crystal lagoons, kids' play areas, an inland white beach, a water cinema, a wave pool, waterpark. "We are immensely proud and delighted to see the progress our third and most exclusive master development is making,” said Muhammed Tahaineh, General Manager of Projects at DAMAC. DAMAC Properties has so far awarded contracts close to Dh7 billion for the master development in Dubai. More than Dh1 billion worth of contracts to date for infrastructure, and over Dh5.6 billion worth of contracts have been awarded to date for villa construction.
