Dh100,000 fine, one year imprisonment for unlicensed fireworks

According to the Federal Decree Law on weapons, ammunition, explosives, military materials, and hazardous substances, anyone in the UAE who trades in, imports, exports, manufactures, or transports fireworks from or to the state without a license faces a penalty of at least one year in prison and at least Dh100,000 in fines, or both. To ensure public safety and prevent legal action, the Public Prosecution advised the public to abide by applicable legislation and not use or deal in fireworks without a license. According to the Decree Law's provisions, it is illegal to possess, obtain, obtain, carry, import, export, re-export, transit, trans-ship, trade, manufacture, repair, transport, or dispose of any weapon, ammunition, explosives, military material, or hazardous substance without first obtaining the necessary license or permit from the Licensing Authority or the relevant entity.
