Blocking emergency exits: Third-time offenders also face trial   DUBAI - Don't block emergency exits in your residential buildings with your belongings or risk a fine of up to Dh30,000 or be sued, a Dubai Civil Defence official said. In some buildings, residents have been seen using emergency exits as storage for their bicycles and other belongings. However, the Dubai Civil Defence (DCD) said this practice blocks the passage in case of emergencies and delays the flow of evacuation. Residents can report violators to the nearest fire station where officers will check the issue. The DCD said first-time offenders will be issued a warning, while repeat ofenders will be given a fine ranging from Dh5,000 to Dh30,000. Those found violating the law for the third time will be referred to the Dubai Public Prosecution.
