The 13-seater bus-on-demand in Dubai. RTA
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has expanded its bus-on-demand service to cover two more locations across Dubai, offering commuters a cost-effective way to travel for just Dh5 per trip. The newly added locations include Oud Metha and Barsha Heights. The service is already operating in areas such as Business Bay, Downtown Dubai, Al Barsha, Dubai Silicon Oasis, and Al Nahda. The bus-on-demand service operates with 13-seater buses, and passengers can book rides through a mobile app. The system optimizes pick-up locations based on demand, minimizing wait times and ensuring seamless connectivity between residential areas and major transport hubs. "This expansion ensures faster and safer journeys for public transport users," said Adel Shakri, Director of Planning and Business Development at RTA’s Public Transport Agency. How to use the service 1. Download the Bus-On-Demand app from the Apple Store or Google Play 2. Book your ride through the app 3. Board the bus at your designated pick-up location ICA/Expat MediaFor all the latest news from the UAE and the world, follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and subscribe to our YouTube page
