A new beachfront luxury resort with freehold ownership for all nationalities has been unveiled in Sharjah: the Dh700 million Khorfakkan Resort. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi officially inaugurated the Dh700 million Khorfakkan Resort project on May 7. Developed by Asas Real Estate, the property arm of Sharjah Islamic Bank, the project is expected to support tourism, investment and economic activity in Khorfakkan. Upon arrival, Sheikh Dr. Sultan unveiled the commemorative plaque before touring the resort’s facilities. The development extends across approximately 330,000 square feet, with a built-up area of 1.4 million square feet. Officials briefed the Sharjah ruler on the project’s facilities, which include a ground floor, two parking levels, and nine residential floors. The resort contains 573 residential units ranging from one-bedroom apartments to four-bedroom apartments with living rooms, alongside 16 retail outlets designed to provide integrated residential and lifestyle services. Situated directly on Khorfakkan beach, the resort also enjoys close proximity to major attractions including Khorfakkan Amphitheatre and the Khorfakkan Waterfall. The project overlooks panoramic views of the sea, mountains, beach and city skyline, creating what officials described as a unique coastal living experience. Facilities include a gymnasium, elevated green spaces covering 100,000 square feet, outdoor swimming pools, children’s recreational sports areas, a private beach, and hotel-style services for residents and guests. One of the project’s major investment features is its freehold ownership option for all nationalities, a move expected to enhance Sharjah’s attractiveness to international investors and buyers. Authorities said the project aligns with Sharjah’s sustainable development plans while supporting growth in the emirate’s tourism and hospitality industries.
