Disney, Idina Menzel, Demi Lovato sued for Let it Go
DUBAI – Singers Idina Menzel, Demi Lovato and production company Disney have been sued by a rapper who claims they copied his song in making popular song Let it Go from 2013 film Frozen.
Jaime Ciero claims the trio ripped off his single Volar, which was recorded in 2008. The song was recorded in Spanish.
Ciero said Volar and Let it Go has striking similarities, including note combinations, structures, hooks, melodies, lyrics, themes, production and textures.
In his lawsuit, Ciero is asking for his share of profits from the movie, the music and the marketing. DAJ/Expat Media
