The owner of a dog that attacked a boy in Abu Dhabi has been ordered by the court to pay Dh15,000 in compensation to the victim. The boy’s father sued the dog owner for physical and moral damages amounting to Dh50,000. He said that his son was walking when he was attacked by the dog. A medical report confirmed the attack. The Abu Dhabi Family and Civil Administrative Cases Court also found the dog owner guilty of negligence and fined him Dh5,000. He was also told to pay the boy Dh15,000 in compensation.
