A drone that can carry up to 50 kilograms will soon transform Dubai's urban logistics. EANAN, a Dubai-based company specializing in advanced air mobility (AAM), is set to launch a new drone, RIKAZ, designed to change urban logistics with air-based deliveries. The RIKAZ drone is a Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) that can carry up to 50 kilograms of cargo (expandable to 200 kilograms). It can fly at 60 kilometers per hour, charge in 15 minutes, and have a range of 30 kilometers. The drones are set to deliver parcels more quickly and efficiently, ease road congestion, and promote environmental sustainability. By operating in the airspace, RIKAZ will bypass road traffic, addressing the challenges of urban congestion in a bustling city like Dubai. Moreover, this drone uses electric motors, which helps lower carbon footprint and aligns with Dubai’s sustainability goals. Last August, EANAN completed a crucial test flight for the RIKAZ drone, which assessed its automated flight controls, navigation systems, communication stability, and overall performance. Although a specific launch date is not yet set, the company expects to enter the retail market soon, depending on regulatory approvals.
