Dubai: 1 dead after 2 gangs fight with swords, knives

In Al Quoz, two gangs assaulted each other with knives and swords, killing one and injuring another. Three Africans and one Asian were sentenced to five years in prison by the Dubai Criminal Court. They will be deported once they have completed their term. In November of last year, an Al Quoz restaurant manager submitted a report alleging that he witnessed a group of people beating others and causing the disturbance. He went on to explain that he witnessed gang members stab members of another group. According to the police statement, the CID team identified the gang members and apprehended three Africans and one Asian. All of the defendants admitted to illegally dealing in alcoholic beverages. They stated that they had no intention of killing the victim. The accused claimed the fourth accused gave them the weapons used in the crime. BKM/ Expat Media
