Dubai's Executive Council has unveiled five key strategies aimed at transforming the emirate into a global hub for education, real estate, transportation, and cashless transactions by 2033. The ambitious plans were approved by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, as part of the Dubai Plan 2033 and Dubai Social Agenda 33. Among the most significant strategies is the Dubai Cashless Strategy, which aims to position Dubai as one of the top five cashless cities in the world by 2033. This shift to digital payments is expected to contribute Dh8 billion to the economy and ensure that all businesses in the emirate accept cashless transactions. The goal is to increase digital payment options for all sectors, from retail to real estate. Another major initiative is the introduction of a 65km suspended transport system connecting key areas such as Umm Suqeim Street, Al Khor, and Zabeel. The system, designed to automate 25 percent of all trips by 2030, will be fully integrated with other public transport options, providing residents and tourists with seamless connectivity across the city. In education, Dubai's 2033 strategy focuses on building a student-centric system, aiming to make UAE students among the most competitive in the world. The strategy seeks to involve educators, parents, and students in shaping the future of the education sector while offering internationally accredited vocational pathways. Dubai’s real estate strategy aims to boost the emirate’s property value to Dh1 trillion and raise home ownership to 33 percent. This will be achieved through AI integration, data-driven market predictions, and a focus on sustainability. The strategy is expected to contribute Dh73 billion to the GDP by 2033. Finally, the Dubai National Archives Project will document the city’s achievements and heritage, ensuring that Dubai’s story is preserved for future generations.
