Several of Dubai’s busiest public beaches will operate as family-only zones during Eid Al Adha 2026, according to Dubai Municipality. The move is aimed at creating a safer and more comfortable atmosphere for families during the holiday period, when thousands typically head to Dubai’s coastline for celebrations. The family-only beaches include: • Jumeirah 1 • Jumeirah 2 • Jumeirah 2 Night Beach • Jumeirah 3 • Umm Suqeim 1 • Umm Suqeim 1 Night Beach • Umm Suqeim 2 • Khor Al Mamzar Beach The restrictions will be in effect throughout the Eid Al Adha break, which officially runs from May 27 to 29, following Arafat Day on May 26. The holiday brings different schedules for government and private workers. The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources announced a five-day public sector holiday from May 25 to 29, with employees returning to work on June 1. Private sector employees will receive a four-day paid holiday from May 26 to 29, with work resuming on May 30, according to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation. Residents heading to the beach can use Dubai’s extended public transport services. The Dubai Metro will operate daily from 5am to 1am between May 25 and 31, while the Dubai Tram will run from 6am to 1am from May 25 to 30, offering easy access to coastal destinations. Dubai Municipality has also confirmed holiday timings for major attractions. Quranic Park and Al Mamzar Park will open from 8am until midnight, while Dubai Frame will welcome visitors from 8am to 9pm. Parks including Al Safa, Creek Park, Mushrif Park and Zabeel Park will stay open from 8am to 12am, giving families more options for Eid outings beyond the beach. ICA/Expat Media
