Beggar with amputated leg starts running, gets arrested

The Anti-Infiltrators Department at Dubai Police's General Department of Criminal Investigations detained a beggar using a wheelchair to demonstrate his infirmity. The arrested guy, alleged to have lost one foot, had roughly Dh3,000 in his possession, which the police confiscated and turned over to the appropriate authorities. The beggar was Asian and had entered the nation on a visit visa, according to Colonel Ali Salem Al Shamsi, Director of the Infiltrators Department. "Upon observing him closely, it seemed that he was pretending to be unable to walk, the police said. But as the police patrol drew near, he quickly forgot about his "amputated leg" and began to flee, leaving the cash he had amassed. The pursuit ended with his arrest. Al Shamsi outlined how the campaign put out by the Dubai police helped to lower the number of beggars annually as a result of the stringent actions taken against the beggars who were caught. He emphasized how the General Department of Criminal Investigation creates a comprehensive security plan each year to combat beggary by stepping up patrols in areas where beggars are anticipated.
