A Toronto flight bound for Dubai was delayed for nearly six hours after a passenger opened the cabin door and fell to the tarmac, according to reports on Friday (January 12). The incident happened on Air Canada flight AC056 at 9pm on Monday (January 8). Authorities said the passenger sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital. Investigation revealed that the male passenger "opened an aircraft door and fallen out onto the tarmac while the aircraft was at the gate and boarding." He fell from a height of 20 feet. Global News Canada reported that the Boeing 777 aircraft was preparing for takeoff at Toronto Pearson International Airport when the passenger headed to open the cabin door. Investigators said the man was in a "state of crisis" during the incident. He was subsequently arrested by police. ICA/Expat Media
