Sheikh Hamdan praises family of boy whose organ donation saved 3 children

  DUBAI – A two-year-old boy in Dubai saved three children even after his death when his organs were donated to give the children a second chance at life. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, identified the boy as Vijith Vijayan. The Dubai Crown Prince praised Vijayan and his family for their humanitarian gesture, calling it the “act of giving at its finest”. “Despite the pain of loss of their 2-year-old son, decided to donate their child’s organs to save the life of others,” Sheikh Hamdan said. Vijayan’s organs were given to three children in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. “Three children’s lives were saved in UAE and Saudi Arabia because of this sacrifice… May your soul rest in peace, Vivaan, and my sincere wishes for a healthy life ahead for the three children,” Sheikh Hamdan said.
