More buses planned to ease Global Village traffic

  DUBAI – Visitors to Dubai's entertainment destination Global Village will have more transport options with plans for more public buses to be deployed there. Organisers hope that the move will ease traffic gridlock at the entrance of the outdoor festival park. "There will be more buses, provided by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA)," said Ahmad Hussain Bin Eisa, Global Village CEO, at a press conference on Monday. He did not elaborate. The RTA currently runs two public bus routes to Global Village — Route 103 , from the Union Metro Station, and Route 104, from Al Ghubaiba. The Global Village runs until April 8 and will be open from 4 p.m. until midnight on weekdays, and 4 p.m. until 1 a.m. on weekends. Tickets cost Dh15.
