In a city known for luxury, even your morning coffee can make history. Homegrown Emirati café, Roasters, located in Dubai’s Boulevard Downtown, holds the Guinness World Record for serving the world’s most expensive cup of coffee—priced at a jaw-dropping Dh2,500. Far from your average latte, this premium V60 hand-pour is brewed from rare Panamanian Geisha beans from the Esmeralda farm, prized worldwide for their floral aroma and tropical fruit notes. Each cup is a ceremony in itself. A trained barista prepares the brew tableside using a temperature-controlled kettle and V60 dripper, then serves it in a handcrafted Edo Kiriko crystal glass from Japan. The drink is accompanied by tiramisu, chocolate ice cream, and a chocolate piece, all infused with the same coffee beans. “Every element is designed to celebrate the bean,” said a Roasters spokesperson. “We wanted to create an experience where guests can taste the artistry in every sip.” Roasters, which began in Dubai and now has 11 branches across the UAE, continues to elevate the café scene through craftsmanship, quality, and innovation—one luxurious cup at a time.
