Dubai: Arab jailed for luring children with porn

The Dubai Appeals Court has upheld a verdict for an Arab man charged with publishing pornography and luring children with the indecent materials. The GCC national will serve three years in jail. His mobile phone and tablet were also confiscated. The case dates back to June 2023 when Dubai Police caught the man’s illegal activities while monitoring social networking sites. Police investigation revealed that the man picked his young victims through an online gaming platform, and then lured them with pornographic photos and also bribed them to go out with him in return for money. Police were able to track the social media account linked to a phone number and email in the UAE. The suspect was then summoned for questioning and his phone was seized. Police also raided the suspect’s residence and found a tablet that contained pornographic videos that were used to lure children. Both the suspect’s phone and tablet were found to contain indecent photos and videos of children and incriminating conversations.
