In a special announcement on World Teachers' Day, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, revealed that Dubai will grant Golden Visas to outstanding educators in the city’s private education sector. The initiative, shared via his social media account on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday (October 5), aims to recognize and reward teachers who have made significant contributions to education in the emirate. "On World Teachers' Day, we issued directives to grant the Golden Visa to educators who have made outstanding contributions to Dubai's private education sector," Sheikh Hamdan said. "We deeply appreciate your efforts in nurturing young minds and instilling the values that will build tomorrow's leaders. You are key partners in shaping Dubai’s future and in achieving the visionary goals of the Education Strategy E33." The Golden Visa, which allows long-term residency in the UAE, will be awarded to teachers and educators working in early childhood centers, private schools, and international higher education institutions. Recipients will be chosen based on their academic excellence, contributions to enhancing the quality of education, positive feedback from their educational community, and their role in improving student outcomes and graduation rates. This initiative aligns with the broader Dubai Education Strategy for the next decade, known as Education Strategy E33, which aims to attract world-class teaching talent to the emirate. "We want to ensure that the best educators are here, helping to build the future of education in Dubai," added Sheikh Hamdan. The introduction of the Golden Visa for educators is part of Dubai’s ongoing efforts to elevate its education system and promote lifelong learning. Sheikh Hamdan emphasized the vital role that teachers play in this vision. "Educators are the cornerstone of a brighter future. They shape the leaders of tomorrow and inspire students to excel academically and in life," he noted.
