Dubai Crown Prince praises Emirati farmers at Farmers’ Souq
Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, stated that Dubai is committed to developing its agricultural sector following the directives of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai. The Crown Prince stated that increasing local agricultural production is a critical priority of the leadership as part of furthering sustainable development and boosting the quality of life for citizens and residents of Dubai. "Meeting consumer demand for local agricultural produce is vital to achieving the goals of our food security strategy," Sheikh Hamdan added. He expressed confidence in the ability of UAE nationals to raise the productivity of the local agricultural sector. Sheikh Hamdan met with Emirati Farmers' Souq participants and praised their efforts to supply high-quality agricultural products to local consumers. The Farmers' Souq, a famous family attraction developed by the Dubai Municipality, is a free agricultural, social, and investment platform that strives to bring Emirati farmers together under one roof to sell local goods directly to consumers.
