A new Eiffel Tower may soon rise in Dubai, as Karachi-based developer Bahria Town has unveiled plans to anchor a replica of the world-famous Paris landmark at its upcoming 20-million-square-foot real estate project in Dubai South. The ambitious project aims to bring a touch of Parisian charm to the emirate, with the Eiffel Tower replica set to serve as the centerpiece of the massive development. Bahria Town, known for integrating global cultural icons into its projects, previously built an Eiffel Tower replica at its township in Karachi, Pakistan. Bahria Town is keen to introduce an iconic feature that sets its Dubai South development apart. “Bahria Town clearly wants to have a distinctive feature in Dubai South beyond the planned homes and the extensive green features,” areal estate agent said. With 20 million square feet available for development, the company has ample space to incorporate “value-added elements” like the Eiffel Tower replica. However, Bahria Town has yet to announce a timeline for the project’s completion.

Other landmarks planned for Dubai South project

The Eiffel Tower is not the only globally inspired landmark planned for the development. Bahria Town also revealed plans to construct a version of Istanbul’s Blue Mosque within the same project. The mosque, modeled after the iconic Sultan Ahmed Mosque in Turkey, is expected to be a key architectural feature, offering a blend of cultural heritage and modern design. According to the developer, the first phase of the project is expected to take four years, with properties offering prime views of the Eiffel Tower and Blue Mosque once completed. This is not the first time an Eiffel Tower replica has been proposed in Dubai. In 2005, a developer announced plans to build a version of the tower as part of the Falcon City of Wonders.
