An Asian driver was imprisoned and fined for facilitating a man's heroin use in his vehicle and then dumping his body after he died of an overdose. The Dubai Criminal Court sentenced the accused to five years in prison and a Dh50,000 fine. In April last year, a truck driver discovered the deceased's body in a sandy lot in the Jebel Ali Industrial Area. A team of CID investigators from the Dubai Police discovered surveillance footage from the area depicting the suspect bringing the body to the parking lot before fleeing in a vehicle. He was apprehended soon after being identified. The defendant will be deported upon completion of his sentence. BKM/ Expat Media
