Asian steals Range Rover, collides with another car

A 28-year-old drunk Asian man stole a Range Rover parked in front of a building with the key inside. He drove the car and crashed into another vehicle. The case file states that an Asian woman received a call from the police station alerting her of a vehicular accident. To pick up her car, the authorities asked her to go to the police station. The woman claimed she did not let anyone drive her Range Rover. According to the reports, she went to check on her car in the parking lot when she realized she had left it unlocked. She reported it stolen when she could not find her car in the parking lot. The investigation team checked the footage from the parking lot's security cameras. The team discovered that the one operating the car was the Asian who caused the collision, and he was later taken into custody. The accused admitted seeing an unlocked Range Rover after drinking. He drove the car, caused an accident, and left the vehicle in a hurry. The Asian was charged and given a Dh4,000 fine by the Misdemeanors and Violations Court in Dubai. KD/Expat Media
