A drunk man was fined Dh10,000 for breaking into his neighbor's apartment and refusing to leave. The case happened in Dubai Marina last May. A young man from a Gulf country was startled when the accused entered his apartment. The former says he tried to stop the accused from entering, but he refused. The complainant summoned his father for help, but he could not get the drunk man out, who continued to walk around the apartment, claiming it was his. The complainant then called the police. The drunk man stated he was confused because he lived in a similar apartment next to the complainant. The Dubai Public Prosecution convicted the man of trespassing and fined him Dh10,000.
