Dubai is gearing up for an unforgettable six-day celebration to mark the 53rd UAE National Day, or Eid Al Etihad, with an array of events and experiences from November 28 to December 3. Organized by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), the festivities promise to dazzle residents and visitors alike with fireworks, live performances, cultural showcases, retail promotions, and more. “The UAE has grown into a thriving hub of culture and innovation in just over fifty years. This celebration is a moment for everyone—Emiratis, residents, and visitors—to unite in appreciation of our vibrant heritage and exciting future,” said Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of DFRE.Fireworks and lighting displays
Dubai’s skyline will come alive with breathtaking fireworks from December 1 to 3. Bluewaters Island and The Beach, JBR will kick things off on December 1 at 8pm, followed by dazzling displays in Hatta (8pm, December 2) and Dubai Festival City Mall (9:10pm, December 2.). The grand finale will take place at Al Seef on December 3 at 9pm. Adding to the festivities, iconic Dubai landmarks will shine in the colors of the UAE flag. Eleven artistic lighting installations, including those at Hatta and the Clock Tower Roundabout, will showcase the unity of the seven emirates.Cultural highlights
On December 2, City Walk will host an impressive celebration featuring over 200 performers, including Emirati musicians and acrobats. Visitors can also enjoy a concert by Mohamed Al Shehhi, complete with a live band, from 8pm. Ibn Battuta Mall will celebrate Emirati heritage with the UAE Reimagined exhibition from December 1 to 3. Guests can participate in activities such as Burqa decorating and bracelet making while enjoying traditional music and henna art. Global Village will host the grand "Hawa Emirati" Operetta, blending cultural performances with nightly fireworks. Star-studded entertainment and sporting events The Coca-Cola Arena will kick off the festivities on November 28 with Jalsat Moments, a concert featuring beloved Arabic artists like Ayed Yousef and Eida Al Menhali. Meanwhile, Dubai Harbour will host Egyptian superstar Amr Diab on November 30, followed by British rap sensation Stormzy at Emirates Dubai 7s on December 1. Fans of theater can catch Singin’ in the Rain at Dubai Opera from November 30 to December 14, while football legends like Paul Pogba and Roberto Carlos will compete at Al Maktoum Stadium for the Kings Cup Dubai on November 30.Retail and hospitality promotions
