Dubai: Emirates lauds cabin crew for saving two passengers
A cabin crew of an Emirates flight was lauded for saving the life of two passengers. The cabin crew successfully administered cardiovascular pulmonary respiration (CPR) and used a defibrillator on the passengers in July of this year. Both passengers were alive and kept stable until they could be brought to safety and seek medical attention on the ground. The cabin crew members of Dubai Airlines receive comprehensive first aid during training which includes but is not limited to: dealing with a collapsed passenger who has fainted, managing choking, recognizing and managing breathing difficulties like asthma and hyperventilation, sudden illnesses like chest pain, stroke, low blood sugar, allergic reactions, deep vein thrombosis, barotrauma, decompression illness, and substance misuse. They are also prepared to handle death and the delivery of a newborn.
