A Dubai-based designer and photographer has released AI-photos of what the Dubai Metro might look like in the future.
Imagine walking into a giant terrarium before hopping on the train to Dubai Mall or Karama. Welcome to the imagination of Adnan Abbas.
In photos released by Khaleej Times, Abbas said he used AI to help design his concept of a greener Dubai Metro. He calls it “Everyday Green”, an “oasis of greenery in between the urban landscape”.
“This will bring the beauty of nature into the daily lives of Metro passengers in Dubai,” Abbas told the newspaper. The expat, who works as a photographer in Dubai, rides the metro to work every day. He says he uses his travel time to meditate, which was when he got the idea of terrariums in metro stations to help improve commuters’ well-being.
Abbas, who has lived in Dubai since 2007, is hoping that the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will make his concept a reality. There was yet no comment from RTA as of this publication. ICA/Expat Media
