Filipino basketball enthusiasts gathered in Al Rigga, Dubai, on Tuesday (February 11), as the Filipino Basketball League launched a friendly tournament that celebrated community spirit. The event, backed by Filipino restaurant chain Tapa King, brought together six teams in a lively competition that highlighted the deep passion for basketball among Filipinos in the UAE.

Family-friendly tournament with young ambassadors

Beyond the game, the tournament had a family-friendly atmosphere, featuring children as ambassadors for each team. The tournament set the stage for more competitions in the future. The tournament launch was graced by Melodina Isaguirre, COO of Tapa King; Julius Magallanes, Vice President for International Affairs, and Joseph Vasquez, Director of Sales.
