Juancho's CV and some reactions from netizens. EXPAT MEDIA
When looking for a new place to live, most people post requirements and wait for responses. But Filipino expat Juancho (full name withheld) took an entirely different approach, posting a CV to find a shared room in Dubai—and instantly adding humor to the city’s bustling rental scene. Living on a budget in Dubai often means adapting to shared spaces, and Juancho, in his hunt for a room in the Burjuman area, decided to show his personality with a creative CV. Among his “qualifications”? A knack for cooking, a sense of humor, and one unusual request: “No Marites,” a Filipino slang for gossipers. His CV also detailed a preference for a room with a strong Wi-Fi connection and, if possible, a balcony. Juancho’s post, which received nearly 4,000 reactions and over 230 shares as of Monday (November 11) resonated with fellow expats, reflecting a shared experience of navigating Dubai’s rental market and making the best of shared living arrangements. Marilyn Valenzuela called Juancho's move as being in "another level", while Archie Carcillar joked that he will call Juancho for an "answer interview". His CV serves as a lighthearted reminder that even in something as simple as finding a room, creativity and humor can go a long way.
