Dubai Police has issued 67 fines to a dhow cruise boat and 46 other watercraft for violating maritime regulations. The violations, which included expired licenses and unsafe operating practices, were uncovered during a recent inspection campaign. The campaign inspected 118 watercraft in collaboration with the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism. Violations ranged from unlicensed events to neglecting essential safety protocols. Brigadier Dr. Hassan Suhail Al Suwaidi, Director of the Ports Police Station, said, "This initiative is part of our commitment to enhancing maritime safety and ensuring compliance with local laws." Major Saeed Khalifa Al Mazrouei, who led the campaign, urged watercraft operators to comply with laws, adding, "Public cooperation is crucial in ensuring safety and security in Dubai's waters."
