Dubai’s much-anticipated annual fitness extravaganza, the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC), is back for its 2024 edition with an extra incentive for participants. This year, participants have the chance to win Emirates flights to bring two guests to Dubai "for an unforgettable experience, including hotel accommodation and participation in the Dubai Run". To be entered into the raffle, participants must register before October 25. The Dubai Fitness Challenge, now in its seventh edition, has become a staple in the city’s calendar, encouraging residents and visitors alike to commit to 30 minutes of physical activity every day for 30 days from October 26 to November 24. The event aims to make Dubai one of the most physically active cities in the world. Registrants can sign up via the official website, www.dubaifitnesschallenge.com, and join thousands of others in the city’s push toward health and fitness. Two popular events will return to Sheikh Zayed Road: the Dubai Ride and Dubai Run. The fifth edition of Dubai Ride will take place on November 10, giving cyclists the rare opportunity to ride along Sheikh Zayed Road, which will be closed to traffic. Meanwhile, the sixth edition of Dubai Run is scheduled for November 24, allowing runners to dash past Dubai’s iconic landmarks on the same famed road. The 2024 DFC also introduces new fitness opportunities, with the addition of two fitness villages. The RTA Al Warqa’a Park 30x30 Fitness Village, a cycling-centric venue, caters to both novice and experienced cyclists, while the Dubai Municipality Zabeel Park 30x30 Fitness Village offers a wide variety of activities. This new fitness hub will feature a spinning zone, cricket pitches, a tough mudder obstacle course, running clubs, and a main stage hosting various fitness events throughout the month. With over 200,000 participants expected, this year’s event promises to be one of the largest editions yet. “The Dubai Fitness Challenge is designed to be accessible to everyone, no matter their fitness level,” said an organizer. “We want to inspire people to embrace a healthier lifestyle while enjoying all that Dubai has to offer.” The Dubai Fitness Challenge has been a highlight of the city’s annual calendar since it was first launched in 2017. Through inclusive, fun activities, it provides individuals, families, and communities the chance to engage in physical fitness, explore Dubai’s beautiful outdoors, and contribute to making the city a global hub for healthy living.
