Get ready for final taste of Dubai Food Festival weekend

  DUBAI -  There’s only three days to go until Dubai Food Festival (DFF) concludes its 2019 edition – but there’s plenty of delicious food to bite into before it does! Here’s a list of what you need to try out during the final weekend of DFF:

Head to swyp Beach Canteen

The weather is perfect for a fun day out with family and friends – so make the most of it while tucking into sumptuous treats at swyp Beach Canteen. Be sure to make your way down to DFF’s flagship event this weekend to check out the below: March 7 (Thursday): Watch Arab talent on display at ARABESQUE, taking place from 4pm onwards and featuring karaoke with Lucky Voice, performances from Emirati ‘Barbershop Quarter’-style acapella group SAMA Quartet, Tunisian sensation Mahdi Baccouch and Lebanese pop and rock band ADONIS, followed by a stand-up act by beloved comedian Wonho Chung. Tickets can be purchased at Dh50, (including VAT) at the swyp Beach Canteen entrance or via Platinum List. March 8 (Friday): Stop and look at the skies at 8:35pm for a vibrant display of fireworks. After that, grab a bean bag by the swyp Beach Canteen mainstage and watch a screening of Avatar, brought to you by Roxy Cinemas. March 9 (Saturday): Enjoy Afro Beats by the Beach and spectacular fireworks displays at 8:35pm. Roxy Cinemas will also show a screening of Black Panther at the swyp Beach Canteen mainstage at 8pm.

Other things to look out for at swyp Beach Canteen

Brand-new food outlets including Fillenial Bites, with Fillenial short for ‘Filipino Millenial’ and bringing Pinoy street food favourites such as Sisiq Dynamite and Kwek-Kwek; and Al Hambra giving you a taste of Spain that will transport you to the bustling taverns of Valencia. Home-grown food concepts such as Coppasta (which whips up delicious grab-and-go pasta in a cup) and The Yoghurt Lab (which blends healthy Greek yoghurt with local and exotic flavours to create a delectable collection of tastes), both of which have set up stalls in partnerships with Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for small businesses. Sweet treats such as funnel cakes from Oh Funnel, local homemade waffles from Waffly Pops and fresh donuts from DOH. Pair it with a unique collection of coffees from Saddle, which is also serving a Pistachio Coffee as part of DFF’s Limited Edition Coffee Series. Unique concepts such as Mango Mania, which slices up the King of Fruits into ‘spaghetti’ and serves it up with toppings of your choice; and Spheerz, which brings Japanese street food like Takoyaki to Dubai. The Lacnor Booth as it celebrates ‘Lacnor family weekend’ with a host of activities for the entire family, including a kids’ fitness dance session, tutorials for healthy smoothies, and light music as part of Lacnor Chill Area. Insta-goals at the Uber Eats area – with gigantic donuts, a pizza throne, and massive salad bowl amongst other fabulous props to use.
