Dubai Criminal Court sentenced four gang members to one year in prison for renting a property for gambling. Last July, authorities received a tip about a residential property being utilized as a gambling house. A policeman said an investigation team entered the villa with a Public Prosecution permit and found a gathering of people, a cash box, and a TV screen. The authorities arrested several gamblers and seized Dh21,000 from the table. Eighteen gamblers were jailed for three months, fined Dh100,000, and deported. The police also locked the villa until the Public Prosecution authorized its reopening for legal purposes. BKM/ Expat Media
