The cause of a fuel tanker fire in Al Satwa area is currently under investigation, according to the Dubai Civil Defence. Dubai Civil Defence swiftly extinguished the fire that erupted in the fuel tanker on Friday (September 20). The fire, which caused plumes of smoke visible from various parts of the city, was brought under control with no reported injuries or fatalities. However, at least one other vehicle was damaged. According to a source from Dubai Civil Defence, the operations room received a report at 5:26pm regarding a fire that had broken out in a fuel tanker near Lulu Residence in Al Satwa. Responders from the Al Etihad Civil Defence Station arrived at the scene within five minutes. The Civil Defence personnel managed to control the blaze within 25 minutes, and by 5:54pm, cooling operations had commenced. By 6:23pm, the site had been handed over to the relevant authorities for further assessment and investigation. Witnesses reported seeing large plumes of smoke rising from the fire, which could be seen from several locations, including Downtown Dubai, Jumeirah, and Ras Al Khor. Authorities urged residents to stay clear of the area while the site was secured and operations concluded.
