Dubai girl crowned Little Miss Universe

DUBAI - Miya Ross Borovitskaya said her family put all their savings into making her dream a reality: to win Little Miss Universe. Representing the UAE, the student of American International School in Dubai travelled to Antalya, Turkey earlier this month to compete in the pageant. She wowed judges with her talent in dancing and music in four languages: Arabic, Turkish, English and Russian. “We couldn’t find any financial support, so my family decided to put in all their savings to make my dream come true," Borovitskaya said, adding that she only had two weeks to prepare. It was hard work that paid off, however. Borovitskaya credited her mother for helping her choose the six dresses that she wore throughout the pageant. “My mission is to show all children that they should make the most of their talent, be proud and confident and believe in their dreams. We are the future of this world,” she said.
