Nominations for the first Global Artificial Intelligence Award (GAIA) are now open, Dubai Quality Group (DQG) announced on Monday (September 30). The award, under the patronage of Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, is aimed at honoring global organizations that have demonstrated outstanding innovation in artificial intelligence across government and private sectors. Entities worldwide can submit their nominations via the official GAIA website until October 31. The Global AI Award aims to drive technological advancement and encourage the rapid adoption of AI technologies to foster organizational growth and competitiveness. Dr. Hazza Khalfan Alnuaimi, Chairman of DQG, emphasized that AI is more than just a tool; it is a transformative force that is reshaping industries and economies. "The Global AI Award is a bold step towards setting new benchmarks for AI innovation globally," he said. Samira Mohamed, Managing Director of DQG, added that the award would provide a platform for organizations to showcase their AI-driven achievements. Winners will be classified into four categories—platinum, gold, silver, and bronze—based on their scores, which are determined through expert evaluations and site visits. The highest category, platinum, requires a score of 650 or more points. Participating organizations stand to gain several benefits, including increased global recognition, new partnership opportunities, and enhanced competitiveness. The award also aims to improve operational efficiency by encouraging the use of AI technologies to streamline workflows and boost investment.
