Dubai: Global Village announces new timings during Ramadan

If you are visiting Global Village during Ramadan, the entertainment destination is adjusting its opening hours throughout the holy month. During Ramadan, Global Village will open from 6pm until 2am, instead of 4pm to midnight. Ramadan is expected to begin on March 12, with the UAE Moonsighting Committee to make an official announcement based on the crescent moon sighting. At Global Village, a new Ramadan Wonders Souk will feature a traditional Emirati market, as well as Ramadan samples. Visitors can also enjoy their iftar and suhoor at the pavilions or various restaurants and kiosks. There will be a musical firework every Friday and Saturday at 9pm, and a Ramadan-themed laser and fire show at The Dragon Lake. Global Village will also hold its popular Ramadan Cannon at sunset every day to signify the end of fasting.

Weekly prizes

Throughout Ramadan, visitors can take part in the Step Challenge where they can win smart watches and mobile phones in the weekly draws. Participants must download the Global Village app and achieve 10,000 steps in a single visit to qualify for the draw. Winners will be announced every Friday. ICA/Expat Media
