Dubai’s Global Village will adjust its opening hours during Ramadan, welcoming visitors daily from 5pm and extending operations into the early hours of the following day. The multicultural destination said it will remain open until 1am from Sunday to Wednesday and until 2am from Thursday to Saturday throughout the month of fasting. Ramadan is expected to begin on February 19 and is currently predicted to last 29 days, likely ending on March 19, subject to official moon-sighting confirmation. During the holy month, the park will introduce a series of Ramadan-themed experiences across its grounds. A drone show is scheduled to take place on the first Friday of Ramadan, lighting up the night sky above the venue. Visitors will also be able to participate in a “10,000-step challenge” available through the Global Village mobile app. Guests who track and complete 10,000 steps in a single visit will qualify for rewards as outlined in the app. A tent-style seating area called “Multaqa Global Village” will be available free of charge to visitors. Inspired by traditional majlis gatherings, the space features seating arrangements and lighting designed for families and groups spending time together during iftar, suhoor or late-night visits. Live Ramadan-themed entertainment will be staged throughout the month. Performances on the main stage will include oud, nay, harp, violin and orchestra music, as well as traditional Tannoura shows. These performances are included in the regular park entry ticket. Television personality Maitha Mohammed will host the “Akher Kalam” show nightly at 11pm on the main stage until March 18. Abdulla Esmaeel will present “Al Mandoos Live Game Show” at 9.30pm across three consecutive weekends starting from the first weekend of Ramadan on February 20. Tickets for the show are priced at Dh25 and are available through the Global Village website. ICA/Expat Media
