A dazzling creation known as the “Dubai Dress”, made entirely from 10.08 kilograms of 21-carat gold, has been officially recognized by Guinness World Records as the world’s heaviest gold dress. The opulent piece, valued at approximately Dh4.6 million, was crafted by Al Romaizan Gold and Jewelry Company, which received the Guinness certificate during a ceremony at Expo Sharjah this year. The Dubai Dress isn’t a single gown but a four-piece ensemble: a gold crown (398 grams), necklace (8,810.6 grams), earrings (134.1 grams), and a “heyar” headpiece (738.5 grams). Every inch gleams with precision engravings and colorful gemstones—an artistic ode to Emirati craftsmanship. “This work reflects the UAE’s ambition to achieve global leadership and highlights Dubai’s position as the premier destination for gold and jewelry enthusiasts,” said Mohsen Al Dhaibani, Regional Deputy Manager of Al Romaizan. Al Dhaibani added that “recording Dubai Dress in Guinness is not merely an achievement, but a message to the world confirming that the UAE can combine authenticity with innovation.” The design, inspired by Emirati heritage and modern elegance, celebrates the region’s reputation as a global jewelry hub.
