A 19-year-old Indian teenager has died after falling from the terrace of a multi-storey building in Dubai’s Deira district while reportedly taking photographs of planes. The victim, identified as Mohammed Mishal was in Dubai on a visit visa and had been staying with his cousins for about 15 days. He was from Kozhikode, Kerala in India. “The tragic incident took place on Friday evening. Mishal was passionate about photography and likely went up to the terrace to capture shots of aircraft near the airport,” said family friend Haneefa K.K. “He lost balance when his leg got stuck between two pipes and fell,” Haneefa added. Mishal was rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival. Described as “a talented boy with an entrepreneurial mind,” Mishal was studying civil engineering and had been discussing business ideas in Dubai. His grieving parents are completing the paperwork to repatriate his remains to India. ICA/Expat Media
