Eyelash lift goes horribly wrong for Dubai influencer

  DUBAI – Dubai-based influencer Leena Kaziz has called for caution after undergoing an eyelash lift that left her eyes swollen shut. Kaziz said her experience was a wakeup call to never put beauty before heath again. The Syrian influencer had reportedly booked an LVL eyelash treatment on September 14. LVL stands for “lash, volume, lift", a treatment that gives lashes the appearance of curl and volume. In a few hours after the treatment, Kaziz’s eyes were bloodshot and swollen and by the end of the day, her allergic reaction just got worse. She was eventually taken to a hospital in a wheelchair after her eyes were painfully swollen shut.

“I almost forgot the true purpose of my eyes.. my sight! As if they only existed for me to make them prettier! I forgot how blessed I am to have all of my senses!” she said in an Instagram post. “What happened to me was a wakeup call! We are often too obsessed with becoming prettier and more appealing that we forget to really protect ourselves from our own self,” she added. ICA/Expat Media
